Variations around my Laura Vita zebra clutch

Variations around my Laura Vita zebra clutch

Hello mes fashionistas

I hope you're doing well ! I have been less present on the blog in recent weeks, because I had a peak of activity with image consulting support to be carried out in a limited time for new clients. Testimonies of trust that I welcome with gratitude. Two days before Christmas, here is my last article of the year! When Julie from the agency ASAP Communication contacted me again a few weeks ago to offer me a new collaboration with the brand Laura Vita, I didn't hesitate for a second! Last summer, I already presented two of their models: an orange python effect bag and black sandals with a daisy pattern.

Among the vast collection Laura Vitamy choice fell on this superb two-tone red and zebra clutch, envelope format with a wide decorative band. It can be used as a clutch or bag because it comes with a removable wrist strap and chain strap. Leather and imitation finish, textile interior with multi-pockets, it is also available in blue and beige colors. This clutch is the ideal accessory for winter 2022-2023, red and zebra being two key trends of the season!

1. Lace dress & perfecto

I put together this outfit to illustrate the challenge slow fashion #jeshoppedansmondressing which I co-host on Instagram with Patricia, responsible image and fashion consultant: this week, we proposed “I’m diverting my holiday outfit” as a theme. I chose to wear this black lace dress on New Year's Eve with a gold and silver brocade jacket. In this offbeat version, I played on the contrast of materials between matte and shiny, delicate and rawby combining it with a faux leather perfecto.

Mixing different textures is a good way to give depth to a total black look. THE zebra ankle boots echo my clutch, featuring the same pattern of fine stripes, to bring a touch of print and color to my dark outfit. The result is feminine, glamorous and rock at the same time because I also like to subtly mix styles!

2. Lace & leopard dress

A variation of the previous outfit, a pair of pumps replaces the ankle boots and I swapped my perfecto for a jacket in thick jacquard-style fabric, with the leopard print that I love! I wear it open because it is fitted and it is better suited to my figure 8 body shape. Its fitted cut with a plunging shawl collar and rounded sides appealed to me but it is above all the black spotted pattern on white background which I found original.

The zebra and leopard mix works well because they belong to the same family of animal prints and the color palette being both identical and neutral, there is no risk of discordance. This outfit mixes materials, patterns and textures for a more graphic look, without forgetting the tights which add a touch of fantasy thanks to their reverse plumetis effect (small holes and not raised dots).

3. Rouge & violet

You know my taste for bright colors, and I find that it is all the more essential in winter as antidote to grayness ambient! My favorite harmonies are color-blocking and two-tone (whether two colors together or one color combined with black). I combined all of that in my outfit, starting with a base of black pants + red jacket, which I completed with a puffer coat in ultra-violet wool because it's cold despite the sun!

I found this superb red jacket Yves Saint Laurent vintage at garage sales for the modest sum of €5 (yes five euros!), undoubtedly my best second-hand find and I will wear it on Christmas Eve with my gold slim jeans. The combination of two saturated pieces – red and purple – tempered by black, creates a sophisticated, dynamic and bold look which I fully assume!
