Laura Vita’s colorful creations

Hello mes fashionistas !

It's time to go back to school! I hope you had a wonderful vacation and made the most of it! I am delighted to meet you again and resume my activity on the blog after a summer break which did me a lot of good. During these 6 weeks, I took full advantage of my darling, spent a lot of time in the fresh air, managed to get a (little) tan, slowed down my presence on social networks… It was essential to reconnect with the little pleasures simple things in life and to rest after a busy year!

I come back super motivated with a new direction for my account Instagram : I will continue to co-host the challenge slow fashion #jeshoppedansmondressing with my partner Patricia @nouveaux_regards_ but I decided to put more emphasis on my activity as an image consultant. You will therefore see more posts devoted to color theory and the colorimetry of the 12 seasons. Hoping that you will be there to appreciate my new feed!

Last May, I was contacted by Julie, in charge of digital press relations at the agency ASAP Communication. She offered me a partnership (unpaid I specify) to discover one of their clients, Laura Vita. In exchange for photos and stories that I would publish on my Instagram account showing their products worn, the brand offered me a piece of my choice (bag, shoes or clothing) and an accessory of my choice.

I do not systematically accept the collaborations submitted to me, because they must correspond to my consumption philosophy (eco-responsible, ethical, handmade, made in France, vintage or second-hand products) but I was seduced by the approach of the marque and his original creations! Here I present to you the looks that I put together around the 2 items offered (a pair of sandals and a bag), hoping to make you want to discover this pretty French brand Here is an overview through some colorful models.

Presentation of Laura Vita

The brand Laura Vita was founded in 2004 in the north of France: the wish of its discreet creator – doctor of medicine and biology – was to offer modern women shoes that are both aesthetic and comfortable, with a unique design and colors. The eclectic style of the creations – sometimes crazy, sometimes romantic – is instantly recognizable and represents the identity of the brand, allowing the customer to fully express their personality.

I particularly appreciate this freedom of expression off the beaten track, multiple and singular, encompassing all colors, shapes, styles, languages and cultures. To be completely honest, I didn't know the brand but I was immediately attracted: the originality of the modelsthe vibrant colors, the colorful patterns, the fantasy of the heels, the mix of materials (leather, textile, plexi) reminded me of the bohemian ready-to-wear brand René Derhy (created in Paris in 1969) or Unequal (clothing company created in Barcelona in 1984).

Products Laura Vita – shoes, leather goods, clothing and accessories – are designed in France and created in responsible quantities throughout the world to limit waste thanks to a production chain on a human scale: the workshops are regularly supervised to allow local employees to live decently in a family environment. Last but not least, I am very sensitive to the attention paid to finishes and the choice of materials: top quality vegetable tanned leathers used as soon as possible, and new materials, the surplus of which is reintroduced in small, limited series. We are far from the standardization conveyed by fast fashion and that’s all I love!

1. The orange python bag

This bag was my spring-summer joker! Despite its bright color – which the photos don't do justice to because the orange is so saturated it's almost neon – I knew I could easily wear it, whether to complete a colorful (and assertive!) outfit or to enhance a more sober look. I experimented with both options and they convinced me, it's up to you to tell me which one you prefer. The first is a mix of prints as I like them: despite the mini leopard pattern of the top, the large flowers of the pants and the python effect of the bag, the whole remains coherent thanks to the palette of colors used forming a similar harmony warm tones, similar on the color wheel (brown, yellow, orange, pink).

The second proposal is a total look since it is a combi-pantalon vert olive matched with khaki sandals: the orange touch brightens up this dark outfit with a little reminder in the jewelry. The interior of the bag is well arranged with its spacious central compartment and four thin side pockets. Finally, the finishes are impeccable: a saddle stitching on the flap, a robust clasp in an aged bronze finish and a wide shoulder strap which ensures perfect support when worn in crossbody bag.

2. Daisy sandals

I fell in love with these pretty sandals featuring a lovely semi daisies on black background and three cut-out leather flowers decorated with pearls. Immediately received, immediately adopted! Because it must be said that the finishes are superb: supple and shiny leather, a beautiful stable 8 cm heel, a non-slip rubber sole and a Velcro closure system (straps and top of the foot) which allows adjustment. perfect, ideal if your feet tend to swell at the end of the day… It's quite impressive but the buckle on the strap is purely decorative. To highlight my sandals, I composed a simple black and white harmony with a touch of bright yellow.

The long skirt in bright white English embroidery is a refreshing option in very hot weather. The satin camisole, with its vibrant pattern mixing seasonal flowers and fruits on a black background, echoes the printed shoes. Finally, judging by its logo, the bag is probably a free item with the purchase of products Onagrineand I found that he would an original summer tote : trendy with its “mosquito net” mesh finish and its peppy lemon yellow color, it has proven to be very practical for carrying all my summer essentials (sun cream, mister, fan, etc.).

To conclude, I am really satisfied with these two items offered which met my expectations due to their style and quality, and I warmly thank Julie from the agency ASAP Communication as well as Laura Vita for their trust.
