With its old French and Y2K influences, I find that today's outfit has a false air of blush or Reformation – two very trendy brands but also very expensive.
However, apart from some jewelry which adds a little chic, all the clothes and accessories are second hand, found at very low prices: from 5€ for the English embroidery top at 60€ for the small vintage Longchamp bag, including €9 for the pair of woven leather sandals, €12 for the satin skirt, or even €10 for the Alain Manoukian belt made in France. All of them have been in my wardrobe for about 2-3 years.
My interpretation is a bit more casual than the brands mentioned, but it still illustrates what I try to share on a daily basis: fashion is an eternal beginning, and thanks to the millions of pieces available second-hand, it is quite possible to reproduce styles trends at a lower cost without systematically financing fast fashion brands made in Vietnam ou Bangladesh!
That said, the sales starting today at certain ethical brands also represent an excellent opportunity to support good initiatives when you have a more limited budget. They also need us to continue to exist!
This is particularly the case for, where several pieces of jewelry from this look come from – and which I have been wearing for two years now. Their sale selections are ideal for offering the quality of French manufacturing in gold plated or sterling silver, which really lasts with use (my jewelry remains impeccable even if I don't take them off in the shower!), for a slightly lower cost. And despite the reduction, the solidarity aspect of each purchase remains present, with 5% of the total amount donated to an association of your choice – which I still find great.
I myself chose three new little minimalist pieces to add to my collection: I'm looking forward to showing them to you soon!
NB.: I promise, I'm not pregnant! My top, whose fabric is very thick, creates an unsightly bulge under my skirt. It was perhaps not the best choice, in hindsight…
