What a pleasure to finally be able to present to you my latest discoveries and favorite beauty references of the moment! I have several remarkable products to share with you today, after a particularly fruitful summer of cosmetic testing (although not always for exciting reasons, as you will see!).
There is some very good stuff in this edition, always in a natural and eco-responsible spirit, with a marked interest in highly sensitive and delicate skin: you should find some particularly interesting references to note.
I hope that my opinions, all built over several weeks of use, will be useful to you in navigating the jungle of natural cosmetics!
♡ CocoOolution combination skin care*
When you have skin that is both prone to imperfections and the first signs of aging, you have to balance needs that seem paradoxical or even counterproductive to each other. It's my daily life, and it's not easy!
I might as well tell you that the concept of treatments co-created by Oolution and Coline, released on September 9, immediately spoke to me: Bloom Boxa lotion that is both moisturizing, toning and purifying, and Keen Tonican ultra-plumping and rebalancing gel serum with hyaluronic acid.
I accepted with great pleasure to receive them for testing a few months ago as a preview, and I am completely won over!
Their compositions, first of all, are absolutely perfect: no inert filler ingredients (besides hydrosols and plant extracts, there is only aloe vera juice and/or glycerin), 100% natural, organic, vegan, cruelty-free, without essential oils or perfume – pure cocktails of well-chosen plant active ingredients with hyaluronic acid.
Their effects are also very pleasant on the skin: I was amazed by the immediate moisturizing comfort that the Bloom Box lotion gave me, and the Keen Tonic serum corresponds exactly to what I like to apply morning and evening before my cream since a few years (a gel rich in high molecular weight hyaluronic acid, which plumps and therefore immediately relieves tightness and surface fine lines).
Both products smell naturally of plants, without it being boring or bothersome to my sensitive sense of smell. My skin is very hydrated, and for the moment seems effectively cleansed, without any aggressiveness. In short, a very, very great success!
The combo of the two treatments corresponds to a certain budget, which I don't think I want to reinvest each time – but I already know that I will at least repurchase the Bloom Box, which is undoubtedly the best toning lotion I have ever used. day for my skin.
Perhaps you remember my wonderful discovery of the Krème brand, of which I love the concept of organic cosmetics that are both fresh, enriched with probiotics, and engaged in local French production in a short circuit.
Their range has now expanded with body products, I wanted to test their cleansing bar – a superfatted dermatological bar (6%) with neutral pH, without soap, presented as a perfect zero waste alternative for sensitive skin. It did me a lot of good, since it turned out to be a real favorite!
With its very creamy and rich texture, it feels extremely gentle on the skin; it also leaves the skin supple and in no way tight after the shower. However, it also foams particularly well, which makes it very practical to use. Finally, its clementine scent is absolutely DIVINE, a real concentrate of good, relaxing mood every morning!
Because its price is still slightly high compared to my usual cold soaps (especially since it melts a little more quickly), this bar will remain a little one-off pleasure for me, but I can already feel the addiction developing! I recommend a thousand times that you try it if you want to combine ecology, respect for the skin and great sensory pleasure.
♡ Facial sun cream SPF50+ Patyka*
It took a certain level to make me choose another natural facial sunscreen than the tinted version of Madará, so far my favorite for everyday use – but it's a fact, Patyka has created a solid competitor!
It's quite simple: among all the organic sunscreens I've tested so far, this is currently the best protection/discretion ratio in my opinion – at least on fair skin.
Without being 100% transparent (this is impossible with mineral filters without nanoparticles), its texture is the least greasy and thick that I know, which makes it very pleasant for everyday life when you have combination skin. . Besides, the inevitable whitening effect is here very minimized despite maximum SPF. You can see it by applying a generous amount – but in smaller doses, for those days when you go out without planning any voluntary exposure, the result is surprisingly imperceptible after careful application.
My dream would be to find this formulation in a tinted version, like Madará, since it serves as a light foundation in summer.
♡ Avène Tolérance Control Restorative Soothing Cream
Without me having yet understood the exact reason, the skin on my face experienced an unprecedented reactive crisis in the middle of summer: already affected by the appearance of small pimples that had been itching on my forehead for several weeks, it was suddenly became very irritable, reacting particularly strongly to the slightest exposure to the sun (rosacea attack, intense heat, etc.).
To avoid making the situation worse, I put my usual routine on hold and decided to temporarily turn to drugstore products adapted to cases of intolerances and allergies.
Avène's Tolérance Control cream seemed ideal to me as a moisturizer, since it is specifically formulated to calm skin hypersensitivity, with a composition that remains very satisfactory: 98% ingredients of natural origin, no silicone, and no preservatives since it is a sterile technology tube.
A month later, I am very satisfied with its action. From the first uses, some of my little spots disappeared, and my itching quickly diminished. After about 2-3 weeks without anything to report, I gradually reintroduced other facial treatments (CocoOolution products, then my retinol serum, etc.) and the attacks of redness did not return.
Although I have now returned almost 100% to my usual products, I will continue to use this cream with complete confidence every time I feel my skin a little more irritable than usual, and I would happily recommend it to you!
♡ Krème Probiotic Cleansing Cream*
Because I received it at the same time as the body wash bar from the same brand, and tested it well during the summer, I am taking advantage of this review to also tell you about this solid cleansing cream!
The concept is very interesting: a facial cleanser in the form of a small solid bar, but without soap, with a balm texture. It is applied by moistening it slightly with water (no problem, it doesn't melt quickly at all!), then passing it over the face: a fine cream results, which you then just need to massage and then to rinse.
After trying it a few times at home, this is the product that I decided to take with me on vacation as a cleaner because of its great practicality: it takes up no space, doesn't weigh much, dries quickly and hard very a long time. For skin that needs softness, it is also wonderful: without foaming effect, its creamy texture is extremely respectful and leaves the epidermis both well refreshed and supple. A very good zero waste and minimalist option in my opinion for people suffering from dry skin and/or irritation!
Although I admit that I still prefer cleansers in fluid format for their fresher sensation (and because the slightly sweet scent of this solid cream is not entirely to my taste), I will nevertheless continue to use it. use without hesitation for all my travels.
More than the sun, it was THE secret of my pretty complexion this summer: I received compliments every time I posted a photo where I was wearing it (the latest one is this one), but also in real life! I've been using it in phases since I discovered it in 2014, and it's still the only bronzer in my collection because I love it so much. This is my second pot, knowing that I also finished the one that was in my RMS Beauty palette in the meantime.
Its very glowy cream formula won't please everyone, but for me who doesn't like powdery finishes on the cheeks (I prefer very fresh, “healthy” results, which capture the light to highlight the volumes), it is perfect.
Its translucent color leans towards copper, with red undertones, which makes it much more natural and flattering in my opinion than the orange sun shades: it gives a healthy glow, as if we had just come out of a afternoon on the terrace, skin both tanned and slightly reddened by the heat.
An essential in my makeup bag that I am delighted to have purchased!
